All times are approximate as paddling time will vary, depending on the paddler's experience and water levels. Add additional time for any stops made along the way. Kayak times are usually shorter than canoe times.
The upper sections of all the rivers are always more shallow than the lower sections, and after extended dry periods may not be canoeable. The upper Mullica and Batsto Rivers are always less crowded than the Wading and Oswego Rivers. The lower Mullica is wide, tidal and is often used by power boats during summer weekends.
