The Baja sets the new standard for life jacket comfort. We trimmed floatation panels so they'd better conform to your torso. We also borrowed from the backpack technology using a mesh ventilation system designed to improve air flow. Perfect for paddling, the Baja combines fit with function.
Features:
Baja Back comfort design features a thin lower back section to accommodate canoe and kayak seat backs providing easier movement and reduced life vest ride up while paddling
Venting mesh on front and back combine comfort with a breathable heat managed jacket
Space mesh pods on the inside back panel to allow air flow (see photo inset)
Curve cut foam for a form fitting wrap around feel

Baja Back seating comfort design
Extrasport® created the first PFD with a thinner lower-back section for increased comfort on the seat backs in today's sit-on tops and rec boats. It caught on immediately—big time. The idea behind our Baja Back is that a thicker upper-back floatation section and thinner lower section keeps the foam off your body, giving you easier movement and greater freedom. In addition, testing in water shows that this design contributes to a better floatation angle and reduces uncomfortable ride-up of the vest while paddling.
HOW IT WORKS
A thick upper back floatation section not only helps thin the lower section, it keeps the floam off your body, giving easier free movement. In-the-water testing actually shows that this design also contributes to a better floatation angle.
A thin, broad lower back section accomodates seat backs and rests providing extra paddling comfort and reducing lifevest ride-up while paddling.
Originally introduced in one model for general recreation is now featured multiple styles due to popular demand.
