With just enough rocker to provide excellent maneuverability in the rapids, and flared ends for dryness and buoyancy, the Appalachian is a very impressive 16-foot river runner. Its shallow arch and hull offers great initial and secondary stability, and whitewater tripping enthusiasts will particularly appreciate the canoe's quick response and tight handling in conditions up to Class III. It can be paddled solo or tandem, with a 1,441-pound carrying capacity, the Appalachian is also a great choice for family outings or day trips. |
