The Looksha 17 easily accommodates medium to larger paddlers and all of their gear. And when stowing gear, you'll find the bow and stern hatches are the largest hatch openings ever designed by Necky. High initial stability, excellent glide and outstanding acceleration ensure that strong currents, tides or wind chop up to four feet won't slow you down.

The Looksha 17 Outfitter is the same sporty touring kayak as the base Looksha 17 with the exception of a comfortable and supportive back band substituted for the pedestal seat back. The Looksha 17 Outfitter offers a slightly different feel for paddlers looking for more freedom and flexibility while they are paddling. High initial stability, excellent glide and outstanding acceleration ensure that strong currents, tides or wind chop up to four feet won't slow you down.

Active Comfort System (ACS)
	Designed for all day comfort the ACS seat features a visible, intuitive adjustment system, multi-laminate construction for optimal support and softness, an enhanced seating surface for superior air-flow and drainage and lateral stabilizers which lock the seat in place for that "one with the boat" feeling. The four-way adjustable seat tailors individual backrest height, thigh support, lumbar support and backrest angle to provide a truly customized ride.
Outfitter Seat
	The Necky Outfitter seat includes the ACS (Active Comfort System) seat pad with a large supportive back band. This system maximizes comfort without minimizing the paddlers' mobility in the boat. Designed for all day comfort the ACS seat pad features a multi-laminate construction for optimal support and softness, an enhanced seating surface for superior air-flow and drainage and lateral stabilizers which lock the seat in place for that "one with the boat" feeling.
Comfort Fit™ Thigh Brace
	Our Comfort Fit foam thigh braces are designed to provide the ultimate comfort while paddling. Durable yet lightweight, these thigh braces can also be adjusted to provide a snug fit for almost any leg length.
The Cross Lock™ Buckle System
	The Cross Lock buckle system is a unique strapping and hatch system. The "X" pattern is achieved with four straps and one quick release buckle. The low anchor points of the straps allow for excellent pressure that is evenly distributed around the hatch cover. Simple, secure and easy to use.
Necky Rudder
	The aluminum alloy used in our standard rudder can take lots of abuse, bending, and rebending before it breaks. With some care this aluminum rudder should last a lifetime. When deployed you use the foot pedals to guide the kayak to the right or the left. A rudder is used for keeping your boat on track, especially when the weather conditions change. It can help make your journey safer and more enjoyable.
