Good things come in 2’s: The Dynamic Duo is a movement, a team sport, and makes paddling with your inexperienced friends and family easy and fun.
12’ of stability, speed, comfort, and fun in a two person package. Based on the Hero series, the wide flat hull makes staying right side up a breeze. Paddlers can expect to enjoy water up to one class less than they are comfortable in if they are intermediate or experts, and up to two classes harder if they are beginners.
The Paddler’s Advantage: Imagine feeling rock solid, like you can never tip over. That is what the Dynamic Duo feels like. The second paddler creates a solid feeling from side to side, and makes learning to kayak really confidence inspiring. The biggest advantage of this boat is that you can ride take your friends and family out, or ride with people on water harder than you can do solo.
For beginners imagine all of the places you can go with a good paddler in the back! Also a great learning tool for rolling.
For intermediate paddlers, the boat starts to become a way to increase your paddling base of friends, as well as a way to enjoy paddling in a different atmosphere, as a team.
For Expert boaters, you can expect to run lots of hard stuff with other experts, or be the expert that offers others a chance to join you on the river!

Choosing between SL or Elite?
So, you’ve decided which Jackson whitewater model is best for you, now you get to decide between two versions of that model. Relax, either way you go, you’re guaranteed to get a great boat! But both have advantages.
SL (Super Linear)
The hull is made from Superlinear, a metallocene-catalyzed polyethylene that is the whitewater industry standard. This stuff is super-strong and fairly easy to repair, in the unlikely event that you ever break it.
A comfy, foam padded seat sits atop a welded-in plastic track. Simple and easy to adjust.
Adjustable, contoured hip pads and backband, same as in the Elite version.
SL Duos feature adjustable, aluminium footbraces.
And best of all, Jackson’s SL models are competitively priced!
ELITE
The hull is made from crosslinked polyethylene. No other major whitewater brand uses crosslink, despite its superior impact strength and abrasion resistance. Why? Crosslink is more expensive, takes longer to process, and requires more highly-skilled molders. Superlinear is tough. Crosslink is tougher and can be molded a bit lighter.
Elites feature a seat with “Sweet Cheeks”, Jackson’s unique, custom-fit butt-pad, for all-day comfort.
The Elite seat sits atop a composite beam that integrates into the foam walls, providing unparalleled hull stiffness and total outfitting integrity.
Elite Duos have the unique Unishock Footbrace system.

The following two CAD drawings show how the boat will sit in the water with two different weight paddlers in the bow and stern, and then if they switch positions. What they illustrate is that this boat will do very well with a wide range of paddlers of different weights and either one can sit in the back.
