Bel Haven Paddlesports
has long since become a landmark in the
heart of the New Jersey Pinelands. In 1953, William Bell and his twin
brothers, Robert and Weldon, did what most of us dream of. Armed with
only a couple of shovels, they built a dam and created a lake.
Starting with 6 canoes and a beach, history had begun!
Staying true to the initial intention where
families and individuals could spend time experiencing the splendor of
the environment, the sacredness of our rivers, and the
serenity of canoeing, our business philosophy has expanded but not
changed.
Now, 55 years later, we are still family
owned and operated. Canoes have lined up along side kayaks, rental trips
have become more like mini explorations and the demand for sales & service
has made us a premiere regional paddling center in the Mid Atlantic. Today
the Bel Haven Lake and Marina answers the quest for the paddling enthusiasts
with our year round test paddling promise!
We want to thank all of our patrons that we
have seen over the years; the next generation to come and our dedicated
staff that make it happen everyday! For us, we are committed to the “Bell”
name continuing to be synonymous to a landmark of quality outdoor
recreation.
